At the invitation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), on 10 October 2025, H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions (Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs), and Chairman of the Trade Policy Advisory (TPAB) participated as a panelist in the panel discussion on “Global Trade Disorder”, at the World Trade Forum, in Florence, Italy.

During the panel discussion, Dr. SOK highlighted how the global trade regime has become increasingly paralyzed by growing geo-economic uncertainties. He noted that the marginalization of WTO has prompted a shift toward regionalization, with trade becoming more localized through minilateral arrangements and regional trade agreements.
