On 18 November 2025, H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee and Chairman of the 1st Sub-Committee on Substance and Documentation of the National Committee for Organizing the 20th Francophonie Summit, accompanied H.E. PRAK Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Chairman of the National Committee for Organizing the 20th Francophonie Summit, in a bilateral meeting with H.E. Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda.
The main discussion between the two countries focused on exploring and enhancing cooperation across political, economic, and cultural fields, which was formalized by the signing of two documents: (1) Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Bilateral Consultations between the two Foreign Ministries and (2) Agreement on Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic and Offical Passports.
