On June 1, 2026, H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions and Chairman of the Trade Policy Advisory Board (TPAB), was invited to deliver the opening remarks at the Phnom Penh Strategic Dialogue 2026. The dialogue brought together senior policymakers, diplomats, military officials, scholars, and policy practitioners for a productive discussion on the evolving strategic environment facing ASEAN and Southeast Asia.

In addition to his opening address, Dr. Sok was invited to moderate the second high-level panel, titled “Hedging Under Pressure: Strategic Autonomy in an Era of Major Power Rivalry.” The session featured esteemed panelists, including Dr. Cheng-Chwee Kuik, Professor at the National University of Malaysia; H.E. Vathouniyom Douangmala, Director General of the Institute of Foreign Affairs of Laos; Dr. Chheng Kimlong, President of the Asian Vision Institute, Cambodia; and Dr. Bradley Jensen Murg, Vice Rector at Paragon International University, and Distinguished Senior Fellow and Senior Advisor at the Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace (CICP).

Following the dialogue, Dr. Sok attended a Gala Dinner celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the CICP. The event was also attended by H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN, alongside other distinguished regional leaders.
