On June 10, 2026, the Trade Policy Advisory Board (TPAB), in collaboration with the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), and supported by Australian Aid, hosted a Second Capacity Building Programme on “Advancing Cambodia’s Semiconductor Ecosystem.” The opening ceremony of the joint workshop was presided over by H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions (Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs), and Chairman of the TPAB.

Building on the outcomes of the inaugural workshop in 2025, this second capacity building programme aims to deepen policy discussions and identify practical steps for Cambodia to integrate into regional and global semiconductor value chains, while actively aligning national initiatives with broader ASEAN semiconductor cooperation frameworks.

This event was attended by high-level dignitaries policymakers, and key technical officers representing various line ministries. Notable attendees included H.E. Prof. Dr. CHHEM Kieth Rethy, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions, and Chairman of the Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC); and H.E. Derek YIP, Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
