On 1 December 2025, H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions (Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs) and Chairman of the Trade Policy Advisory Board (TPAB), attended a working luncheon with the delegation of the US-ASEAN Business Council, led by Amb. Ted Osius, Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of the US-ASEAN Business Council, and Head of Delegation, at Raffles Hotel Le Royal, Phnom Penh. The meeting was also attended by representatives from Abbott, Plug and Play, Coca Cola, ConocoPhillips, Ford, Mastercard, Manulife, Marriott International, Meta, RMA Group, Philip Morris International, Visa, Vriens and Partners, 3M, and US-ASEAN Business Council.
The working luncheon focused on strengthening government engagement, supporting the Pentagon Strategy-Phase 1, advancing US–Cambodia trade, and promoting capacity-building and SME development. Dr. SOK took the opportunity to brief the US-ASEAN Business Council delegations on Thailand’s unilateral border closure, a potentially hostile posture toward Cambodia that is affecting bilateral trade and disrupting regional supply chains.
