On the occasion of the Official Launch of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund Project on February 11, 2026, H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions (Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs), and Chairman Emeritus of the Asian Vision Institute (AVI), attended a roundtable discussion titled “The Importance of RCEP in Promoting Regional Integration and SMEs in the Mekong-Lancang Region”.

The session was moderated by Dr. OUM Sothea, Senior Policy Advisor of the Cambodia Australia Partnership for Resilient Economic Development (CAPRED). The roundtable featured a group of distinguished panelists, including: H.E. CHAN Sopheap, Deputy Director-General of the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE) of Cambodia; H.E. Mrs. NHIM Khemara Rosa, Director-General of Small & Medium Enterprises and Handicraft at the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI); Prof. Shandre Mugan Thangavelu, Head of the Jeffrey Cheah Institute for Southeast Asia; Ms. KE Yian, Research Fellow at the Guangzhou Institute of the Greater Bay Area (GIG); Mr. Viboon Sithimolada, Board Director of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI); and Ms. KEO Kounila, MSME Trainer & Managing Partner at Mekhala Radiant Communications Co., Ltd.
