On 30 September 2025, H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. Sok Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions (Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs), Chairman of the Trade Policy Advisory Board (TPAB), and Chairman of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CP-TPP) Study Working Group, held a working session with Mr. KIMURA Fukumari, President of the Institute of Development Economics (IDE) of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
The discussion focused on the scenario-based analysis of Cambodia’s potential CP-TPP membership and the survey results on the number of Japanese companies utilizing free trade agreements, which led to JETRO’s commitment to support Cambodia in joining the CP-TPP under the framework of future research cooperation.
