On November 26, 2025, H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions (Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs) and High Representative of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, was invited to be a Speaker at the Panel Discussion on “Bridge for Cities: Fostering Smart and Inclusive Cities in Asia-Pacific”, a side-event as part of the Generation Future Day under the theme of “Inspiration for tomorrow’s industry” in the 21st Session of the UNIDO General Conference 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Discussion focused on how Asia-Pacific cities can become smarter, greener, and more inclusive, while also discussed on practical solutions, such as digital technology, innovative financing, and climate-resilient planning, to support sustainable urban and industrial development. Dr. SOK further enriched the discussion by highlighting Cambodia’s Funan Techo Canal and new Techo International Airport as testament of this vision, showing how modern climate-resilient infrastructure can inspire similar transformations across the Asia-Pacific region.
