On March 28, 2025, H.E. Prof. Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions (Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs) and Chairman of the Trade Policy Advisory Board (TPAB), delivered the opening remark at the Joint Symposium on Cambodia’s Economic Development and Economic Policy: Opportunities and Challenges, co-organized by TPAB, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the JICA OGATA Research Institution, the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), and the Economic Society of Cambodia (ESC).
In his address, Dr. SOK emphasized the importance of examining Cambodia’s economic progress and preparing for Cambodia’s LDC graduation. He also acknowledged JICA’s six decades of contributions to Cambodia’s development through crucial infrastructure projects and called for strong collaboration among government agencies, researchers, private sector, and communities to build a resilient and prosperous future for Cambodia.
