On 30 September 2025, H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. Sok Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions (Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs), Chairman of the Trade Policy Advisory Board (TPAB), and Chairman of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CP-TPP) Study Working Group, met with Amb. YAMADA Takio, Executive Director of the Center for Global Outreach of the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA).

The discussion focused primarily on the long-standing relationship between Japan and Cambodia, current global and regional trade trends, and the potential direction of research cooperation with educational institutions and think tanks in Cambodia on regional economic and security matters.
