On June 9, 2026, at the invitation of the World Bank, H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions (Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs), and Vice-Chairman of the Working Group in preparation for the Cambodia Vision 2050 Report, attended the official launch of the World Bank’s Biannual Report, the June 2026 Cambodia Economic Update. The report, themed “Mitigate Fuel Price Shock,” featured a special focus on the nation’s demography titled “Forever Young? Cambodia’s Demographic Transition and the Road to Vision 2050.”
The official launch was presided over by H.E. VONGSEY Vissoth, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers. The event was also attended by distinguished guests, including H.E. Prof. Dr. CHHEM Kieth Rethy, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions and Chairman of the Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC), alongside H.E. Steven Pang Chee Wee, Ambassador of Singapore to Cambodia.
