On 18 August 2026, H.E. Bundit Sapheacha Prof. Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions and Special Envoy of the Prime Minister to the United Nations and Other States, led an official mission with the Office of the Special Envoy.

Accompanied by experts from the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC), the delegation assessed areas impacted by explosive remnants of war (ERW) and unexploded cluster bombs, evaluating ongoing clearance operations on-site at Phum Nimeth, Banteay Meanchey Province.
