On 26 September 2025, H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. Sok Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions (Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs), Chairman of the Trade Policy Advisory Board (TPAB), and Chairman of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CP-TPP) Study Working Group, paid a courtesy call on H.E. WATANABE Yoichi, Vice-Minister for International Affairs of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF).

During the meeting, Dr. Sok emphasized the market potential and production capacity between Japan and Cambodia in the agriculture and fisheries sectors, and identified opportunities for future cooperation as well as promoting the development of export growth.
