BIOGRAPHY
H.E. RATH Sovannorak
Deputy Governor of NBC and Member of TPAB
Sovannorak holds a Master’s Degree in Development Economics from Williams College, Massachusetts, United States, and a Master’s Degree in Financial Economics from the University of London, United Kingdom.
He currently serves as the Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC). Prior to his current role, Sovannorak was the Assistant Governor and Director General of Banking Supervision at NBC from 2017 to 2023. Additionally, he served as the Chair of the Regulatory Committee of the National Bank of Cambodia and as the Board Chairman of the Credit Bureau of Cambodia, demonstrating his expertise in financial regulation and banking supervision.
